Centre of International Light Art Unna

The Centre of International Light Art Unna, founded in 2001, has a unique atmosphere: venues of its light installations are the cooling and storage rooms of a former brewery (the Lindenbrauerei), ten metres below ground level. Traces of its history as a brewery, which ended in 1979, can be found on the walls of the building and were deliberately preserved together with parts of the technical armatures and old supply systems. The permanent collection with its unique international profile occupies the larger part of the rooms. The Centre of International Light Art Unna is a member of the network of RuhrKunstMuseen.
