Networks always need a common denominator to bring them together. The minimal condition for coherence is the exchange of information on a defined subject. Networks are founded to do joint marketing or to realize projects together. Whether networks serve to exchange information only or form a working structure, they always need a moderator who guides, bundles contents and revises them and feeds them into the respective network. Ideally it is the task of the moderator to relate different networks to each other or to stimulate them to approach new subjects and problems. In this sense, Urbane Künste Ruhr assumes the management of regional art networks.
