Martin Kippenberger

Martin Kippenberger (1953-1997) was a German artist known for his extremely prolific output in a wide range of styles and media as well as his provocative, jocular and hard-drinking public persona. His artistic reputation and influence grew significantly after hist death in 1997. His works were included in the Biennale di Venezia in 2003 and in exhibitions at the Tate Modern in London, the LACMA, the MoMA, and many others.
