Elin Wikström's works move between performance and conceptual art. They show constructed situations in public spaces that encourage the discussion of social problems or sustainability questions. Wikström likes to involve her surroundings, the people in situ, and, to this end, develops methods such as workshops. The potential of each individual is important to her. She received her art training at the Valand School of Fine Arts, Göteborg University in Sweden between 1987 and 1992, where Wikström was a Professor herself between 2001 and 2005. She participated in the “Skulptur Projekte Münster“ (2007) (Sculpture Projects Münster) as well as the Biennales of Venice (1997) and Tirana (2003).
