Piet Oudolf and GROSS.MAX

Piet Oudolf likes to call himself a gardener. Worldwide he realises landscape-specific and site-specific projects with plants, flowers and bushes. Amongst others, Oudolf is known for his drafts for Ground Zero in New York, as well as for collaborating on the landscaping redesign of the former High Line in Manhattan. To realize his projects for EMSCHERKUNST, Piet Oudolf invited the Scottish office GROSS.MAX.

The landscape architecture office GROSS.MAX was founded in 1995 by Eelco Hooftmann and Bridget Baines in the Scottish capital Edinburgh. GROSS.MAX take on worldwide landscaping projects, e.g. the BMW-works in Leipzig in cooperation with the architect Zaha Hadid or the Potter Field Park in London. GROSS.MAX’s working focus lies on draft projects for public parks, urban places, urban planning, and on regional and landscape planning.
